Agreed. It's more like comparing apples and apples.

Ok, let's be fair. I guess I could recognize Fred. Both accoustically and optically. And I think LB are only a four piece lineup, while LP are five or even six guys. But apart from that, I wouldn't how to distinguish them from each other.

1. I see the thread has finally been moved into the proper part of the board. I take that would be Brothaman's doing.

2. Yeah....When you see someone claiming "We sound like no one. We have our signature style that expresses our personal tastes as well as love for good music." you know right off they (or whomever wrote that) know very little about music or it's history....since there are only a handful that really can be said about. That person also doesn't seem to understand what "original" or "signature sound" means, either.

Of course, many bands have shown you don't need to be original in anyway and still be good.

I have no idea how long they've been playing their instruments but it sounds like it hasn't been that long.....which can explain the previous improvisation question. Everything is rudimentary. Somewhere between beginner and pre-intermediate. Not that that has kept many musicians/bands from being successful and/or becoming considered classic musicians/bands.

I listened to the 4 songs (as much as I can take of each one) and except for "Desert Skies at Night" it's almost like listening to one long ballad in the way they're played and sung. I am not sure why they appear to only be recording/showcasing ballads....From his comments in regards to the improvisation question for live performances....he gave the impression they could play up-tempo songs, however, it could be a result of lack of experience on their instruments....not that has stopped most Punk bands.

Have a listen for yourself.
