Problem with M Audio 410 firewire interface
I just purchased a M-audio 410 Firewire interface. I think i installed the drivers correctly, i'm pretty sure. I plug it in the way it says to and then once i get everything on, i plug a mike into it and i get the little green light saying its picking up stuff but i cant hear anything. Also on the control panel mixer thing i cant move the sliders, i move them and they go right back to their original position. And i need help connecting it to adobe auditions 1.5 can anyone help me out???

Well, the obvious first questions.
Are you monitoring through headphones? If so, are they in the correct headphone output and is the output level turned up? The same for external monitors -- make sure all your connections are right, everything's turned on and turned up, etc.
If that looks ok, then do you have a track set up to record from that mic source? You'll likely have to record arm a track or enable input monitoring to hear anything.
I'm a Mac guy so I can't really help with the Windows audio mixer, unless it's taking some sort of external control from your audio hardware that's overriding it, so make sure your 410 main outputs are turned up.
If you have it connected to your system correctly Audition shouldn't have any problem seeing the 410. I've never used Audition but all audio software is essentially the same. You should be able to look through your preferences or I/O settings to choose/confirm the Firewire 410 as your default interface for audio/midi. It shouldn't be any more complicated than that.
