A little help?

Hey all right this may sound weak to some of you but regardless I'm gunna ask away anyhoo...
I have a very eclectic taste in music but I love to listen to rock n metal every so often to mix it up (as it were lol). Atm I enjoy listening to System, marilyn manson (how very cliched eh?), judas priest, gnr (and a lot of the old classic rock groups tbh) however I want to find some new albums/bands to listen to as whenevr im scanning the cd selection I refrain from buying set albulms as i cant tell the style/if i'd like it (suffice to say none of my mates are into the same styles of music as me - they are into dance! :S )...So please please please ppl give me some good ideas - I am just lost!

i'm thinking 'demanufacture' by fear factory. it might be a little intense to start but it's a goodie. especially the last 2 tracks.

or for more eclectic stuff mr. bungle's 'california' album is pretty satisfying. (who didn't see this one coming?)

but if you're going to get some crue you might as well get some skid row along with it too shit man talk about 8th grade

During my 8th grade 'metal' was all about Machine Head, Biohazard and Fear Factory as well. I had to do some serious research to find out about Crüe and Cinderella and those guys. And there was no internet around, so I had to read magazines and hope for old videos on MTV and go to CD stores.

Guns N' Roses is now considered old classic rock?

This is one of those threads that make me really feel 107.

I would also do a suggestion using Grasshoppa Geryon's handle in the metal forum.

When they play their music
that hard rock music
they like it with a lot of flash
but it's still that same old backbeat rhythm
really really kicks 'em in the...

Never liked Skid Row much. They're so cheesy most of the time.
