I just breezed over it, but that looks fantastic. Is it in order?

Well, I can tell that Satchmo's going to be happy.

Are you kidding me? I sure didn't see any Hot Fives & Sevens on that list. He may not get drawn and quartered but he'll probably at least get some sort of visit from THE SHADOWS.
Nice knowing you, Orwell.
Unless, of course, you were kidding.

Oh no! A direct visit from them?? I think I can handle a couple of squirrels but THE SHADOWS are on another level.
If I can say something in my defense, I tried to avoid compilations and almost anything before the 1950's.

Damn, Seba's right. Anyway, the compilations comment might've saved you, but you just about dug your own grave with the pre-1950's comment. Not that it'll be of any use, as when it comes to THE SHADOWS the body is never found.
Anyway, I may as well wish you all farewell myself, for failing to notice that glaring omission in Orwell's list. I'll see you guys in that place that we're all going to end up in eventually (one can only avoid having THE SHADOWS called on them for so long).

It's posts like this that lead to the "fans" sending fan mail about Satchmo being Cosa Nostra. Hell, even Grasshoppa jazzfromhell once asked Satchmo if he was Don Satchmo.
Look up Shadows and get back to Satchmo.
As in, Satchmo or more importantly those cherished by Satchmo need to be in peril for THE SHADOWS to be going into Extreme Prejudice mode.
aka
As in, bloody, bruised, broken and possibly missing a limb or four.... but above ground.
P.S. Having said that....that just might be one of the best lists I have seen in my 107-years above ground.

It was a good list. Mine's almost done, and it's about 60-70% the same as Orwell's with a little rearranging -- which is good, I was expecting them to be nearly identical.
