I watched Pink Floyd's Live 8 performance today. David Gilmour is quite rusty at those old classics, especially the ones I don't think he's played on his own personal tours (the Breathe & Time Medley were the most jarring, probably because it was a Medley and seemed a little thrown together). Roger Waters was really solid, but I recently saw him play the entire Dark Side Of The Moon, so he has a reason to know the songs. They barely showed Rick Wright on the keyboards, but him and Nick Mason looked like they were having a lot of fun. I noticed Mason changed his fills around in a couple bits, which was really nice because it was unexpected, and that's part of the fun of live music.

Overall, I could sense a lot of tension on the stage, especially between Waters and Gilmour (expected), but Gilmour didn't seem to be enjoying the set much. It looked to me like he would rather have not been there. I'm beginning to think that he's the only one holding Pink Floyd back from reuniting for another album/tour, everyone else was really getting into it. It also got me convinced that this was why Waters decided to do the album for his latest tour, he probably remembered how much fun he had playing the songs.

Anyone else seen this footage?

1. You're beginning to think? He's the only reason.

2. See one.

3. They only practiced together for a few days. As in, see one.

4. Saw the footage as in being there, yeah.

I wish I had been there...

I had hoped that they would at least play one show after Barrett died, but nope.

This is going to bother me to no end if nobody knows

Does anyone have the F# A# Infinity album who can tell me what the quote is in the liner notes? Or at least who said it? It's on the page with the businessman I believe.

Thought I had it but it's just the disc in one of my CD binders. If I find the hard case I'll let you know.
