try the Avalanches.

Good fun. One of the best music videos I've seen.

Nice one Beorn - I was just about to recommend them.

I suppose 2 many DJs is a really obvious one here?

+1 on the Avalanches, that's pretty much as close as you can get to an 'all sample' album. There was an article about its production in Sound on Sound a few years back, you can find it by searching on their homepage.

And hello as well, this is my first post. I've been looking around for a good music forum for a while now, looks like I've found it!

Not quite the same as the Avalanches, but I'd like to give a vote to Mr. Scruff. That Moondog sample in 'Get a Move On' is a great hook and the Shifty Henry song just adds the icing.
Listened to Quantic with Panama City
"Just need the local venues to let me play this out...!!!"

Just heard about Big City Orchestra. Giving the cd a friend sent me a listen now called "Signals and Code"...It's extremely sample heavy noise...really absurd sounding.

depends on what album you're talking about. maybe that particular one is, but their others are really ambient at times.

as you can see, they have many different members, many different variations of names and many recordings.
