Exodus - Atrocity Exhibition... Exhibit A

At about 60 mins it is probably too much of a good thing. Song lengths are also pretty long and that doesn't really suit the style. Rasped vocals, a badass chorus and a solo 3/4th the way is what the best songs by Exodus are made of and this album doesn't have enough of that.

But lets face it, nobody expected Exodus to release album of the year '07

Enjoy!!!

Who's singing at the Exodus camp these days? The same guy as on Toxic Waltz?

I think so. He was on Shovel Headed Kill Machine a year or two ago. Voice is a little raspier, but then again he wasn't quite Tony Bennet either

I'll check this out. ALways good to hear some qualiy thrash metal

Who's Tony Bennet?

Anyway, I didn't like their singer from Bonded by Blood. Everybody else seems to get off on that guy, but I just prefer this crazy voiced dude who sings Toxic Waltz and Chemi-Kill and all that stuff.

Actually I think he's technically a better vocalist, but I like Paul Baloff better (older vocalist) myself. Baloff comes off sounding drunk and boisterous, which was fitting at that time. Bonded had definitely more of a "fuck off" vibe to it and I pesonally don't think Steve Souza (newer vocalist) could have done that as well. Baloff was a liability live, from what I have heard, and having seen Souza live I definitely think he is a stronger singer. But there was just something about that first album where everything seemed to work. It is one of my favorite thrash albums.

QUITE long material...the title track clocks in at over 10 minutes They have done long material before, but there is a lot of it here.

Paul Baloff is (was) the man. Bonded by blood is my fave exodus album easily. I don't think I will bother to hunt this new album down.

Steve Sousa is the vocalist that did toxic waltz and all the good stuff in my opinion not a big fan of the new stuff

Never heard of this band, but it's good to detect Joy Division's influence still doing its work. Or maybe it's Ballard?
