Thumbs up Hrvatski

I like a lot of different music, mostly jazz, but electronic music as well, so I recently picked up "Oiseaux 96-98" by the artist Hrvatski and I think its one of the best electronic releases I've heard in a long time. Very experimental but very listenable too - like electronic jazz in places but not like Squarepusher. It's not so overt.

Does anyone else appreciate this great musician? I only have this one recording of his, does anyone know of others I should look for?

Thank you, and hello of course! (new here)

Also, my electronic collection is not so large. I know of the big names on Warp and Ninja Tune and such, but if anyone has some suggestions based on my liking this Hrvatski recording I'd be very appreciative!

I'm a fan, as are pretty much all of the (few) regulars in the electronic forum. Have you listened to Venetian Snares or Doormouse yet?

You also might want to check out his work under his actual name (Keith Fullerton Whitman). Its generally more abstract and experimental though.

I have heard of Venetian Snares but not Doormouse. I will look into them, thank you Geryon!

No problem. Tell me what you think when you've listened...I'm not as knowledgeable with electronic music as other members but breakcore and the related styles are generally my favorite type of electronic music (and therefore one of my favorite types of music in general). As a result I'd be more than happy to recommend you some more stuff.

And yeah, Doormouse has been a major influence on Venetian Snares.
