Someone wrote that Alanis was the Canadian answer to Tiffany. Does this mean Alanis was an 80s star? Because over here she was totally unknown until Pill. Eventually I might have to check some of her earlier work.

See my above post (actually it was still the 90s, though she was on TV in the 80s). I think she was actually described as Canada's Debbie Gibson.
