I never have been into Greenday sorry. Melodic 90's punk that I do like would include NOFX, Bad Religion, Propaghandi, No use for a name. I even like Pennywise over greenday.
PS greenday is better than offspring though.

i like some of those, but i really just think of greenday as another alternative band, not really punk, and they were one of the best of alternative.

besides, i dont even like the pop punk bands like blink or sum 41 or whatever but i like green day. i guess they were the first of those kinds of bands so are the best.

really, whats so wrong with the music i like? im curious. would you prefer the backstreet boys or something?
they wrote their own original songs and played their own instruments and wrote their own lyrics and they made some great, memorable songs that made a lot of people happy and defined a whole decade. it wasnt all glossy and synthesized like 80s crap and wasnt a wankfest like 70s music and wasnt just an excuse to get high like 60s music, so yeah, i think its the best.
