It's not what, it just is! This is the avatar I first used. I switched it up once but everyone was up in my shaith, so I changed it back.

Also, it means I'm still with youresonaive, despite that she never posts here anymore. If my avatar changed in the future, you would know I am a lonely duck.

For future reference....this is all you would have had to say.

Hi everyone. New here. I love jazz, and no, that doesn't include Kenny G.

Hope to have some fun here.

Some more threads of interest...but don't forget to check the other threads/links which have been posted in this thread. There has been a lot of knowledge dropped on this board if you're interested.

The knowledge isn't limited to Jazz....as in, if you're down with DA BLUES (and who isn't?)....I give you the Blues thread. Ultra Knowledge Dropping was in Full Effect.

I admit to listening to more Jazz then Blues but of course I enjoy the Blues. I'll be sure to look at that thread!

For some reason Jazzrocks makes me think of Poprocks rather than the more obvious positive statement of opinion.

And for that, I salute you.

Here is my updated list of jazz albums I have heard since my first post.

Kind of Blue (my all time favorite so far)
A Love Supreme (good, but dificult)
Giant Steps (liked a lot, my second favorite so far)
Monk's Music (my number three)
Mingus Ha Um (another one that I found a little difficult to follow on some parts but it's good too)

And I havent found this yet: jazz samba encore!

I'll keep up searching for all the remaining recommended records.
