All right all right, given the spirit of the thread I'll choose to *ignore* certain errors in diction.

Zappa
The Jesus Lizard
Jimmy Swift Band
The Kilimanjaro Darkjazz Project
Patton and his bands in all of their permutations (and, to a lesser extent, Sleepytime Gorilla Museum)

I guess Throbbing Gristle could fit into the "weird" list as well, to a certain extent.

Eh, ish. They've gotten better at recreating the whole nu-wave type techno thing live, though, and they must have stopped at least long enough to give my friend a disc of tracks (that he in turn gave me). As far as I know, they're still gigging hard. I tink they were working on a "video" of sorts a while back, too.

Oh you obscure music fans and your black-rimmed glasses

They've got some good tunes. What converted me was "80's Runway Model," which is a self-contradictingly danceable math rock track. You can find it on their website, I think. Listen to that one first! Otherwise, your first impression could be spoilt 0_0
