Black vs Death vocals...
Which metal vocal style do you prefer, the deep guttural growls or the piercing scream approach?
While I enjoy both, I tend to prefer the higher screaming style, personally. I don't really have any specific reason other than my immediate subjective response.
Anyone else?

 Whichever. To future posters, just think on the approach to vocal delivery, whichever sub-style it happens to be in.
I don't usually bother trying to determine who is Black & who is Death; hence the confusion.
In any case, I've made the question more general.

Tough question! I think alot of it weighs on the music style. Personally, I think there are more garbage death metal bands than garbage black metal bands, so I gravitate more towards metal with black metal vocals.

I will admit, if I was a metal vocalist, I would never go the black metal route.

Youv'e got to go with death metal i mean the deep growl is metal to me it just fits in so well with the crazy riffin guitar in death metal

Well put I would agree, as vomiting is less painful (usually)...
I prefer the deep growl as well.
