best music player hands down for my computer?

What's the best music player hands down for my computer that is user friendly for sorting in order the songs for creation of a CD, browsing and finding them on my computer, burning CD's, and adding songs to the program's library?

Thanks in advance,

Steve

I think it's "Steve's exclusive music player" available for free download on a link you somehow forgot to post.

I use WinAmp BTW.

itunes is a bitch to setup but once you have it under control it's quite versatile. it's my player of choice.

What's the difference between winamp and the other players?

winamp was the first worthwhile mp3 player and maintained it's dominance due to its functionality and ease of use. it's REALLY straightforward. i haven't checked the newer versions but i'd be surprised if it didn't have most if not all of the same features itunes has. it actually took a while for windows media player to catch up and start supporting mp3s without requiring the user to download a plugin.

itunes on the other hand came out last and fixed a lot of the nagging issues earlier versions of winamp had and offered it all in one solid package. it's main downside is the learning curve. not that it's very steep but it's a change from winamp's simplicity. it does seem to offer a few more features for organizing your database of music too. and it's the only thing that will work for loading an ipod with tunes.

i've never actually used windows media player as a real mp3 app. it works fine for listening to random tunes but aside from that. meh.

Thanks panbient, I thought itunes was mostly focused on the ipod. I don't have an ipod, and I don't have plans on having one soon, so I wasn't interested on itunes, but now surely I'll check it out.

I have itunes but I noticed as my library got larger it started to get loads slower, which I feel might be due to the quicktime aspect which was never really made for windows. I am considering switching to foobar2000 as I've heard great things once you tweak it to your liking.

Concerning your posts to winamp panbient, I was a faithful user back when there were very few options but they kept adding useless features to it that slowed it down. I currently have winamp 2.95 installed for my flacs as it is very light weight.
