Just upgraded to Winamp 5.5. Playing Def Leppard it sounds as good as ever.

That left Foobar the odd man out.
I use Itunes for organziation, and of course Ipod interaction. I use it for playback when I know I'll be playing music for an extended period, such as right now Winamp is still my default player for when I decide I want to listen to a song and just double-click the file.

As I understand it.... Foobar uses less memory while playing than the others.
Check that link to tweaks and plugins for the other stuff....it might have something.

I do remember that, actually. Thing is...I have 2 GB of RAM, and I think the other two players I use just have more to offer.

I really don't care about the skins on foobar. It is by far the most feature filled and light and best perfroming music player I've used. Migration from winamp's menu based interface was a bit tough but its been a couple of years that I've used foobar alone. Also I think winamp peaked with version 2.
Foobar's got id3 tag reading, album shuffle, scripting, hotkeys, library, AISO support, multiple playlists. It is def. the ideal music player for me.
