Regina Spektor

Incidentally, me again.

You know, it's rare that I develop a crush on a musician, so at least it's not Mika, or someone of his gender. But here is a woman with an enormous amount of talent who is indescribable as anything but adorable. Share thoughts, preconceived opinions about:

Holy shit! Who the hell are you? I have no idea what Regina Spektor's music is like, but she's playing at Bridge School this year, so I guess I'm gonna find out.

I think i have to go this year just to see Tom Waits. I've wanted to see him play for so long, and I'm not sure when the next chance will come around.

Considering his age and how rarely he tours/performs and the fact that you don't live far from him in the first place....

There just might be a hint in this post.

I was last here sometime in the vicinity of 22 months ago. Give or take. But yes, jump on that opportunity... You couldn't send me that concert via telesthesia, could you? That would be neat.

It's not a question if I should go, it's a question of 'can i get work off'.

Mr. "Fill in the blank" I have come down with the Plague. Yes, I know the Plague is unusual for this part of the world but the good news is that the Dr. says it's only a 24hr Plague.

It's probably best to start coughing and sneezing several days beforehand. If possible, the day before the concert you should bite your cheek so you can add in some blood to your sputum.

P.S. I actually had a peon attempt to use this on Satchmo about 15-years-ago.

P.P.S. For any Philistines amongst you....I am in no way actually recommending that you actually do this.

You lie better than you fool.

I sorely regret not getting work off when the Minister of the New Super Heavy Funk played Seoul about two years ago. He played a stadium in Seoul (about an hour and twenty from where I live) on a Friday night at 8:00. The most ridiculous time for a show. I was rather busy around that time and wasn't free until about 9:00. The ol' blood in the sputum trick would have come in handy that day, let me tell you. And we know what my chances are of ever seeing him live in Seoul now...

I hate regret. Lousy emotion.
