This past weekend I went and saw Dinosaur Jr. who were way awesome live. In a few days, I'm going to see the Black Lips play, and then in January I'm seeing the Dresden Dolls and Dan Deacon.
Acid Mothers Temple, White Williams, and Six Organs of Admittance are off in the future too! Lots of good shows coming my way.

Heading out to see Bruce Hornsby and Ricky Skaggs with Kentucky Thunder tonight. In support of their bluegrass release which I have not heard. Should be cool, especially since I managed to score some sweet seats.

New tour schedule for Jim Gaffigan (comedy, not music, but still... it's upcoming and live!) is gonna be posted on Friday (earlier for fans, like me), and he's going to be in Boston. I might have to pick up a ticket or two and go out to see him. He's got new material... Mmm... Jim Gaffigan makes me happy.

The concert was freaking great! Branford Marsalis was supposed to show for "White Wheeled Limousine", but didn't make it in time. The Hornsby tunes really translated well to bluegrass, and his contributions to the Skaggs' traditional stuff was really cool. Hornsby can play anything!
Kentucky Thunder was also amazing. Those guys can lay it down.
Some Hornsby highlights were "White Wheeled Limousine" and "Mandolin Rain."
Some Ricky highlights were "Across The Rocky Mountains" and another Bill Monroe instrumental tune that I didn't catch the name of.
