Help With The Pig Squeal

I need some help from my death/grind friends out there. I am a trained vocalist and I do screaming vocals pretty well. There is just one problem, I cannot for the life of me do the pig squeal, or at least do it right. If I do it by inhaling it sounds more like a real pig than metal. If I exhale it sounds like I'm gurgling through a tube but when I clear my throat its gone and its not very loud. Any hints? Like for regular screaming my placement is in my head, but should I be doing it from the throat? should it hurt? Is a mic and cupping needed for it to be loud and well executed?

Any help is much appreciated.

Peace
