WOW eddie van halen #70. david gilmour #82 WHAT IN THE DOG FUCK BARF ARE THEY ON AT ROLLING STONE?

i'm not a big EVH fan but come on. this list is obviously all rock and he's definitely proven to be WAY more skilled and WAY more innovative than a lot of the people on that list. top 10 for sure.

i'm quite impressed that kim thayil made the cut though, he's always been one of my favourites. still doesn't change the fact that this list is only marginally better than the top 200 albums according to market research the RnR HOF dumped out earlier this year.

Not only has it been posted before, but only a few days over 37 months ago a certain Grasshoppa posted the same thing before.

P.S. Beside it being a general joke, I still have to laugh that they thought it necessary to mention which bands Page, Allman, Richards, Cobain, etc.... were members of.

I am not sure if I should be impressed or not that you zoned in on the same two guitarists and said the same thing each time.

Too bad Slash or Frampton didn't make the list. I remember seeing Frampton in Plattsburgh, New York at the college campus of SUNY Plattsburgh (1975). I didn't know it at the time but the song "Do you feel like we do", which he played at the end of the concert, was added onto "Frampton Comes Alive". It was amazing watching and listening to him up there. It was impressive how he used the talk box to mimic human speech. Everytime I listen to "Do you feel like we do" on the radio I remember the particulars of that day: what I was wearing, who I was with or who I was sitting next to. It is quite amazing.

Too bad I wasn't on this forum 37 months ago. I wouldn't have to repeat this thread.

Frampton was actually an excellent guitarist. While it might have been the best thing for him financially....Frampton Comes Alive! killed him musically....and no matter how much I tried back when it was released....it and it's singles could not be avoided for a good 3 or 4-years. Then there was The Abomination with him and The Brothers Gibb.

He discovered the talk box during his sessions for George Harrison's All Things Must Pass. It was a gift from Bob Heil.

The first person to use one would be Joe Walsh on Rocky Mountain Way.
