Toumani Diabaté showing how he plays the Kora....an instrument which is a cross between a Harp and Lute and has 21 strings....but is only played with only 2 fingers from each hand. The left-hand covers 11 of the string and the right the other 10 strings.

Diabaté adds in a little somethin' something to his playing with aspects of Jazz (as in, improvisation), Da Blues, and Flamenco.

You really can't go wrong with any of his recordings.

Very nice. Diabaté's work with the great Ali Farka Touré is also superb. In the Heart of the Moon is one of my favourite albums from 2005.
