Students Having Problems with FL7

I teach an electronic music class, and have recently upgraded Fruity Loops from 5 to 7, but theres an odd "new feature" that many students are very uncomfortable with, and I'm wondering if anyone here knows how to turn it off.

On the paint/pencil tool, while putting down beat values or sequences (the blue rectangles) the new version "slides" them, instead of locking them within the grid.

How on earth can I turn this off, back to the way they had previously 'locked' into place?

If anyone can help, it would mean alot. I can also post a screenshot if i'm not explaining it well enough.

I'm not sure what it looks like in FL7, but in FL5 you have this little box that with "Snap" written under it where you can choose what grid the different drawing tools should snap to. If you can find a similar box in FL7, click on it and select "line" or "cell"

I found it. Thanks alot

many complaints came from not being able to line things up, and I guess I looked a little foolish not knowing how to switch it.

thanks for saving my ass.
