Art Davis, R.I.P.

Just discovered in an usual place that it appears bass great Art Davis died on July 29th from a heart attack.

He played with many of the greats over the course of his career and covered sub-genres from Bop to playing on Coltrane's Ascension. He was Coltrane's favorite bassist. Besides playing the bass....he was also a psychologist
