Yes Stardust. I have a big BIG passion for Jazz music. I think Jazz is what got the ball truly moving something wild and new. Jazz is the heart beat of all music b/c you can find it in every genre. Jazz touches rock, soul, blues, blue grass, country, polka, pop, and anything else you can think of.

At college this year, I was inducted into the jazz band and I had a blast singing song after song that was a classic in the jazz world. Even though some people don't like her, I cannot help but think that Diana Krall is amazing and sexy as hell. Had I the chance to be her, I would cry. For a new artist, she has got just the touch to make the men swoon. And a voice? I had to sing The Look of Love for my jazz band and I just had to do it the way Diana did. I made all the boys putty in my hands. Lol.

Jazz, like I said, is a heart beat. While country may be the feet and pop may be the hands, or vice versa, nothing would exist without the heartbeat of jazz.

I would call her both. The line between blues and jazz was sometimes so gray that you couldn't tell the diff. So, why not just say both?

Yeah I like Diana too... her voice is just soo :in love: !!
I sung her version of cry me a river once..but, the way she sings it...aaah...it makes me sooo jalous of her voice.
Bessie Smith is also one of my favourite!! I mean, she makes a song so beautiful. It's hard to tell weather it's jazz or blues...yeah maybe it's both..
