im talking about who changed it the most, like when i think of that i think how miles davis made it a little mellower and how sun ra made it crazier its just a way for me to learn more about jazz

1. I answered that in the first post and their in order of importance. Miles wasn't an inovator, however, he was usually one of the first to catch onto the latest sub-genre. Beside that....his greatest ablitiy was spotting new talent. A who's who of the greatest in Jazz History were sidemen in his band at one time or another.

He went in chronological order:
