He's still around. He will be on Talib Kweli's next release Ear Drum.

There's a difference between Satanic and anti-Christian.

And it's my personal opinion that an artist's religious beliefs shouldn't dissuade you from listening to the music.

I quit listenting to certain groups because it no longer felt right listening to it, you could put it down to the fact that I only liked the way it SOUNDED when I started listening to it, after thinking about the words I have chosen not to listen to some groups, I've not been disuaded, I've grown up a bit and started thinking with my own head instead of letting other influences do it for me.

Ah yes...he told it slightly different a month before in Michigan, but it was every bit as savory...

Araya played with his fingers instead of a pic back then too

Here is the question that comes to mind. How can anyone be a fan of any musician/group and not even bother to find out WTF? they're singing about?

At least the original poster in this thread made the effort, but those that don't even bother attempting....

good point. i think of it has a lot to do with the way a lot musicians claim there's no meaning to their music and that it's up to the listener to make sense of it. almost like a test to prove a listeners fanaticism for the artist.

All of a sudden I see visions of Phish and their "secret codes" that they use to test their audience to see who is a real fan (for example, during any one of their endless bouts of pointless noodling, if you hear the Simpsons theme you have to say "DOH!" or everyone will know you're not a real Phish Phan).

I figured I had better not go to a Phish show because I would be half alseep during the solos and miss my cue
