Flourescents making a buzz
My current set up for my guitar is a Gibson SG, through a Boss OS-2, Boss Tuner, and Boss Flanger, into a Marshall Valvestate. Very recently, I've switched from standard light bulbs to flourescent in my practice space. However, whenever there is a flourescent light on in the room, or in neighboring rooms, my amp outputs a distinct buzz. I haven't really tried too many options to remove the sound because I don't want to make a bad investment. I've considered these options thus far.
1. Boss Noise Supressor
2. Boss EQ
3. Circuit breaker for my amp power supply
And as you have probably noticed, I'm a Boss man and only have Boss on my board. So if anyone is familiar with any of my solutions I would appreciate your feedback.
Thanks, Kenny.

personally i'd replace the fluorescents with lights that don't suck and give people headaches. but if you're renting a jam room that might not be an option.
i also remember reading an old trick in guitar magazines to stop radio signals from coming through amps. all you had to do was put a piece of foil around the edge of the input jack and plug in through it. seems odd and i know it's not exactly the same thing but it supposedly killed radio interference, a piece of foil and a 2 minute experiment is a hell of a lot cheaper than any other option so far.
what sort of pickups do you have on your SG? are they coil tapped? active or passive? you running anything as a single coil perhaps? all batteries are fresh?
i run a mexi-strat through an old valvestate 40 with about 12 pedals (boss, DOD, danelectro, whatever) in my lines, fluorescent lights in the room, and the only buzz i get is when i selecet a single pickup, same as any other strat. i also play an ESP with EMG pickups that runs silent through the same rig.
