Theremin: Anybody play?

Anybody play a theremin? Are they easy to learn? I am thinking about purchasing one, is it worth it? Any brands to look into?

Thanks.

Yes and no on it's ease of use. It's pretty basic in learning to play. Being any good on it is another story. Controlling the pitch is the biggest challange.

Especially considering the handful of people who really deserve to be called "good".

Yeah, when everyone today thinks of the Theremin they usually only think of Jimmy Page....who is no Clara Rockmore or Lydia Kavina....the Hendrix/Page of the Theremin, BABY!

Dig Rockmore's Theremin face!

Lydia Kavina

P.S. Kavina is Léon Theremin's cousin. Check out the comments of the clueless wonders who can't figure out WTF? is going on.
