Question How do i rip off the vocals from a certain music/song?

May i know, how do i do eliminate the singer from a certain song? If im not wrong, its called minus 1. Or minus one. Cause i only need the background music, and i cant find it anywhere. Is there such softwares that i can download online and use it to eliminate the vocal? Please help me. I need this for a video which is in progress. Help. Thanks.

Your best bet is trying to find an instrumental version. I have used some software in the past that removed vocals, but the end result didn't sound that great because in acuality it was removing the whole center channel. I can't even think of software titles right now. You could always check www.download.com
for music editing software.

The only problem is that many of these programs only eliminate the center area of the mix like this L------[ ]--------R the issues is that vocal arent the only thing in that area, drums and bass are sometimes taken out as well, I'm with that other guys do your best to find the instrumental version, the software will severly comprimise the quality of the track.

Basically most of the softwares offers karaoke conversion facility but they are not very much successful since with their reduction to voice volume it also reduces the quality of music
