dilemma!!!

i'm looking for an 88-key, weighted, keyboard/digital piano. I'm hoping to find something worth less than $1000, and i've been poking around the internet and narrowed my list to about 5 models.
i prefer going through the stores over than ordering them online coz i'd like to try it out myself before purchasing it. and, in my searching physically through the near by stores, i only got to find and try one model [yamaha dgx 520] from my online search and one other model [casio privia px110 (package)] from my in-store search.
which would be a better long-term keyboard?
what's basically holding me back with the casio is durability and clunky upstroke. with the yamaha, it's only light-weighted, but seemed more durable than the casio one.
thanks!
