Can 50 Cent act?
Al Pacino, Robert DeNiro and 50 Cent to appear in a new movie called Righteous Kill.
I think Snoop Dogg can act, and I think other rappers can act- but I have a hard time believing that 50 cent will be able to. Though the script hasn't been written yet- so maybe the part will be tailored to him... as in every scene will involve Fitty looking deep into the camera lense and saying
"I love you like a fat kid loves cake."

Exactly yesterday I re-watch the Godfather part II, and I was atonished by Pacino's and DeNiro's performances. And now I hear this!!!
What will come next?
A duo between Sonic Youth and Britney Spears?
An album of Radiohead with Boyzone as guests?

I think 50's acting is terrible. I think Busta Rhymes, Method Man, Ludacris, Eminem, and DMX would be the best rap/actors out that I can think of right now.

Pacino and Deniro (and others) just seem like they're acting for foodstamps nowadays.

pacino maybe, but from what i understand deniro is privately funding lots of independent cinema and a festival of sorts. he's taking on shit roles so he can pay for other up and comers to not have to.

He...Who Drops Knowledge
|
1. First off this isn't a 50 Cent project. He just happens to be in the film. This is a De Niro and Pacino film in follow up to their film Heat, which was the first time they actually acted in the same scene together. While they were both in Godfather II there parts were set in different time frames in the story.
2. It's the TriBeCa Film Festival and even though it only started in 2002 it's one of the biggest film festival and rakes in the cash. It was started in wake of Sept. 11th in hopes of bringing people back to Lower Manhatten.
Beside that De Niro also has TriBeCa Productions....three different restaurants which are the TriBeCa Grill, Nobu, and Layla. There is also the real estate investments in the area.
That's before you get into the money he makes from his acting gigs.
aka
De Niro isn't hurting for money.
Neither is Pacino, by the way. Like a lot of actors throughout film history they take films that make them money and those that require actual acting.
Although, Pacino has been in Scent of a Woman over the top ham acting ever since that film.
Michael Caine must make 50 films a year (ok, it just seems that way at times)....with the vast majority being on the scale of Jaws IV. *
* Jaws IV has one of the classic continuity mistakes in film. Caine is in a helicopter that lands on the water close to a boat that is being attacked by the shark....the shark then proceeds to attack the helicopter and pulls it, the pilot and Caine underwater. The boat is about 20 or so feet away and everyone on it thinks Caine and the pilot or now dead. Caine suddenly pops up on the other side of the boat....meaning he had to swim from where the helicopter was taken under and all the way to the other side of the boat. When he is seen coming out of the water and onto the deck....he and his clothes are completely dry.
