The sacred cows of Radiomute?

OK, so one of your friends wants to start posting here. Says, 'Are there any bands / ideas/ whatever that I should avoid speaking negatively about?'

Your reply is?

What's the Radiomute 'thou shalt not smite' list?

Every forum has one, admit it or not.

I used to smite Satchmo, but I've really learned to like the big lug over time.

while most of the names are accurate as sacred cows it's not like this forum will instantly ban or shut down a thread denouncing these people. mind you there are generally more regulars who agree with the awesomeness of the above listed than not and simply saying something like 'i think mike patton sucks because he's stupid and said mean things about wolfmother'... well that will just make me wait for a special day to reply

if new posters can back up their initial opinions with something more than just 'it's my opinion so that's all that counts and i don't need to validate anything' then they should be fine. i can totally agree to disagree, it can lead to interesting debate. on the other hand if things don't go so good i can also bitch and flame like a champ
