Money talk! Thats all they do it for. lol fast paced ja rule!

"Honestly most of Twistas new stuff is commercial, but the stuff he wrote and recorded back in 92-96 he killed it."

Chamillionaire? Are you serious. Ja rule was always on some soft "baby girl put it on me!" music. Only someone that isn't from chicago or that hasn't heard Twistas older stuff would say something like that. Go out and pick up Adrenaline Rush or his first greatest hits cd. Must haves!

No doubt about it Eminem is good @ what he does but there is no competition if had the both of those rappers @ there prime. Honestly most of Twistas new stuff is commercial, but the stuff he wrote and recorded back in 92-96 he killed it.

no competition between Twista and Eminem?

This sentence alone is going to stop me from checking out Twista.

no not at all, your not the first person that has come to the rap section and said so and so is the best rapper, you've got to hear them! I am very open minded when it comes to music, rap especially, but if a person can't recognize a rap legend and personal favorites then I'm not going out of my way to check out something.

So essentially what you are telling me is that it is not your prerogative to listen to what ever you want?! Nice! Not trying to argue with you Bro just trying to get my point across. Which is, Twista is a heck of a whole lot better then EM.

“No doubt about it Eminem is good @ what he does but there is no competition if had the both of those rappers @ there prime. Honestly most of Twistas new stuff is commercial, but the stuff he wrote and recorded back in 92-96 he killed it.“

Well Blaze I am saying flat out that EM is no where near TW’s Level… No where! I understand what you mean though. You might prefer listening to EM and I to Twista but in the rap realm there is no one that can do what Twista does, maybe Busta can. But no one can flow like Twista. Trust you me, listen to Twista’s old stuff and if you have a real appreciation for good music then there is no way that you will not like Twista.

Have fun Blaze!

What I meant is that I don't have the time or resources to listen to whatever any person suggests to me. If I could see that we had some stuff in common I'd be much more inclined but right now all I see is a difference.

And this is a music forum and differences in opinions are meant to be discussed, if we just sat around agreeing it would be pretty boring; go to the twista board for that. With every discussion in music you can always resort to the "well its all just opinion" fact.

Again, I'm not that big a fan of Eminem, I only started defending him because hes from Detroit and part of the midwest scene; but his skill is undeniable. I guess what you mean by Twista doing something that nobody else can do refers to his speed. Great, he can say decent rhymes really fast, thats cool but it doesn't make him amazing and definitely not better then Eminem.

By the way I think this guy can beat him in speed: http://www.panoramas.dk/fullscreen5/f49-rapper.html

Eminem went into new lyrical territory, wether or not you like his subject matter is a whole other topic. His delivery is right on, hes got the humor, the wit, and can paint a great picture. Hes got DRE production, how can you beat that? He can also freestyle, so well in fact thats how he got noticed.

Like I said before, first listen to Twista's original tracks then come and argue for EM. How can anyone argue against a rapper that they barely even heard of... Unlike EM which mainstream, and honestly gay. You have to think on your feet to be able to rap like twista.

Right away you say that twista's lyrics are "okay" yet you haven't even heard it. EM can go and continue to make "stan" songs to Dido's track.

What ever there is no point in arguing with you, since you haven't gone through Twistas music. I was there when EM first came out on the schene and his sh!t has always been okie dokie?

By the way Detroit is no Chicago, styles are completely different. Go and listen to twistas older sh!t then come back on here and comment on how swell EM is.

"She said she wants some Marvin Gaye,
Luther Vandross,
a little Anita,
will definitely set this party off right."

a song with Jamie Foxx about listening to R&B isn't 'gay'? Yeah I guess the suicidal fan is a bit more shallow. Get a clue, Twista is rapping about blunts and drinks, Eminem has feeling.

You don't address any of my points, get defensive and resort to calling people gay to get a point across and now your telling me that Chicago and Detroit styles are so different. Well give me Jay Dilla and Eminem over Kanye and Twista any day.

Think on your feet? Like I already said Eminem got recognized for his freestyling. Take a listen to the Sway and King Tech wakeup shows Eminem did.

Who cares if its mainstream? Last I heard Tupac, Big, Nas, Jay-z, and Dre were all pretty big but I guess if they sell some records they get no respect. Plus Twista has worked with the neptunes and timbaland, their beats ain't cheap.

I probably should listen to some Twista to correctly argue against him, but if I'm being suggested him by someone who can't even identify skill then I'm not going to run out and buy his album.

Supposedly 10 years ago when no one knew who Twista was he was a beast in the rap game. Now he's a ???.

When I get the chance I'm going to listen to the old Twista and it better be the most shiznificant thing ever.

Right! Well no one in your part of the world knew him but in Chicago he has been the sh!t since he came out. Go to places like NYC or LA and you'll find some real underground talent. The only reason that everyone knows him now is because of Kanye West. Kanye brought his first album and helped push a lot of chicago rappers on to the schene.

Its all a matter of perspective blaze! I would never in a million years bump someone that would even consider talking about britny spears... WTF. EM is a goofy ass cat. He might as well be making childrens books since he is good with words. LOL. If you consider EM a great rapper then don't even respond to me becuase I am just going to tell you that his lyrics are extremly soft. @ least for me!

Twista has dynamite beats and his lyrics are like no other. Especially since he talks about hoodin' out... Something that I am more then sure you can not relate to. Which is why in Chicago his music speaks to everyone.

Since your so damn open minded, go and check him out then come on here and tell me how EM is so much better then Twista! U might not understand the lyrics or what he's talkin bout but his cuts will have your head nodding.

I call that SOFT rap. Next your goig to be telling me that the Beastie Boys are way better then the WU Clan! Goofy.
