confusion?
Now to start it off i am quite young, i am 15 years old. i havent heard much music as some of you other folks in this forum have. I've been exposed to most of the famous people that most of you call "trash" or "crap". If Linkin park, +44, Blink 182, Yellowcard, Somthing Corporate, Jacks Mannequin, Dashboard Confessional, Mae, Sum 41, New Found Glory, and all those band basically "suck" to you guys, why do they make so much money? and if that sucks, what is goodmusic? how do you define good music. what are the atributes taht a good song has, a good lyrics, or a good tune or anything?

Making money doesn't mean something is good. That's more about marketing than talent. Considering your age and you most likely only hear about and hear bands/musicians through MTV style stations, Radio Stations, or other people your age who most likely also get their music from the same, I am not surprised that's what you know.
Also add in the Lowest Common Denominator factor.
You want real good music....here are musicians/ groups in several sub-genres of Rock that should keep you busy for a bit.

well think of it like this. mcdonalds made almost a billion dollars in profit last year. does that make their food any better to eat?
if you like the music put out by those bands then by all means listen to it. but would you honestly expect someone who just grilled their own burgers that they slapped together with their own hands and spiced according to their own nose and tongue topped off with fresh veggies they picked out of a garden they planted themselves to toss it aside in favour of a big mac?
satchmo kind of gets to one of the issues that bothers me most with the current teen generation. you kids have EVERYTHING at your fingertips with the net. you can sample music from all over the planet without having to go out to a record store and hoping against hope that the clerk will at least have heard of the bands your asking for let alone having a copy of their album on the shelf. instead so many seem to be so absored by the mainstream media that they don't see the net as anything besides a hosting facility for myspace / facebook.
in all seriousness i wouldn't worry too much about what RM members have to say about your choice in music. so long as you keep an open ear you're eventually bound to discover something that will touch you with a lot more oomph than anything you hear on mtv. if you let a bunch of net people dictate what you consider 'good' then how will you really know what YOU like?
eventually you're going to get older and wiser and unless you're one of the many stagnant idiots in our society who believe that the apex of life is being 19 you'll continue to grow and develop all aspects of yourself including your music and i guarantee you, once you hit 30 and you go slap in a bunch of the discs you thought were monumental when you were 15 you're going to have a REALLY good laugh at yourself. the cheese you aren't smelling now really won't smell that fresh in a decade or so hehehe.
