i was looking for a USB mic to record vocals with overtop tracks with and came across two and wanted to ask the opinion of people who might know which one is better if you had to pick one?

Well, without having heard either mic or its pre or converter, I'd say go with the second option from the specs, as the second allows for 24-bit recording @ 96khz (better dynamic resolution/frequency response), as opposed to the Samson's 16/48. Samson has a very good reputation for making high-quality, affordable gear -- I don't know the second manufacturer, but the second option looks better on paper.

Hope that helps.

Also, from those links, it appears the second option is cheaper, so there's another point for #2.
