Welcome to Radiomute. Introduce yourself here.
Hi everyone welcome to Radiomute. This is where you can introduce yourself and tell us about you musical interests and tastes.
Please don't start any other introduction threads as they clutter things up a bit and they will be deleted.

Hey guys. Been a music fan all my life. Just ran across this site a few days ago and liked the set-up. I was wondering, though - what's the general consensus on posting music links (i.e. via rapidshare, megaupload, etc.) with your threads?

I don't have a problem with it,other forums that I post on do it (Haakon the site owner may have other ideas). You know that after being here for a while you get you own space to upload you own music for everyone to play. You will see many members with music links under their avatars

Hi All,
I'm a semi-music geek living in NOVA. I'm just testing the waters, hoping to make some connections and waste some time.
My tastes lean towards alternative and indie - good songs, interestingly recorded. I have a hard time choosing a favorite band, but two biggies would be the Flaming Lips and Radiohead, followed by the Dirty Three, Wilco, Destroyer, Silver Jews, and Explosions in the Sky.
Peace!

I don't think it is a hot issue esp. if it is unknown and rare bands or single tracks but I guess the admins(haakon) would have the final say...

i generally dump link threads into promotions. they might not always start like spam but they generally get flooded with 'check out this awesome myspace band - i swear they don't sound like anything else ever' posts really quick.

I have two cassette tapes, one of Barbara Streisand's greatest hits and the other of Quiet Riot's "Metal Health", but it doesn't play.
I'm here to meet any Australian fans of bands like Alice Donut or The Dead Kennedys.
