So far this week, I seem to be stuck on Turning Machine - decent post-rock styled group. I don't know that I think they're all that fantastic -- pretty good -- but it does make wonderful driving music, I have to say...

It's one of the best books of the 20th Century and influenced this band enough to take their name from it....

hmmmmmm, I think that there just might be a hint in this post.

ha ha well fair enough.

Apprently the leader of the bands writing style is greatly alike to the style of the book. Literate, descriptive and poetic.

Also, if you haven't heard of Augie March, I suggest you check them out.

Bryan Scary. http://www.purevolume.com/bryanscary...shreddingtears
Melodic, straightforward psychedelic pop. As far as I know, Bryan Scary played all the instruments on the album except for drums, played by the Apollo Sunshine drummer. And I haven't listened to much else for about four days.

Your definately not allowed to pick your favorite artist of all time as your favorite artist of the week. Isn't that a wee bit redundant?
