I have a BIG doubt about a music i heard in a movie, let's see if you can help me, i need the name of the MOVIE that plays this song:

"It's my party and i'll cry if i want to, cry if i want to..."

I think you know the song, so am i-- but i saw the movie, and was a funny one, about a little boy that ruins a party of a little girl, the boy wears a devil costume and the girl cries a lot and the boy throws away all her party gifts to a pool, and then at the end, he put a firecracker inside the cake and the cake explodes in the middle of the "happy birthday song"...!

This is a very old movie around the early 90s, anyone knows the name? I need to see it to laugh a little bit again!!

Maybe the movie Mermaids?

If not is there anything else you can tell us about the film? An actor, is it a hollywood production?

Not really, is a really old movie, is not Mermaids, that's the one with Cher? i didn't like that one, ha ha ha...

I know the title of the movie in spanish, but it says that in english is that one called "Dutch" (with Ed O'neill "Married With Childrens") but i saw the trailers and doesn't ring a bell to me!

The movie is kinda like "Dennis The Menace"... (the movie, there is a mr wilson, but has another name) and the kid is menace and mean, he blows a W.C. with a chemical explosive, and also destroys that little girl's party... and that's where the song starts: "It's my party and i cry if i want to"....

Maybe if you give me the name of the artist i can lookup for the song and where does appear in movies... there is actually a very old (60s 70s or 80s, not sure) movie that is called "It's my party" because of that song!

But well.... i really that's the least information i have got...!

Alright I tried a little more looking up but it is difficult since the facts are bare and hard to search for (IE a film like Dennis the menace can't just be typed into google). Anyhow I did try and haven't been able to come up with any other real suggestions.

The artist that performs the song you are looking for is Lesley Gore and the song is it's my party. This is the original, so it might have been a cover you heard. Still allmusic.com only lists it on 2 soundtracks that I could find and Mermaids sounded like it could be a possibility but I guess not (I've never seen the film, but you are right, Cher is in it).

Your information from your second post seems a little contradicting, when was this film made? The early 90s or 60s? What is the title of the movie in Spanish? You should try typing it into imdb.com and see what happens.
