For me, as I strive to be a musician I would say that my role is more a spiritual thing. I play music because I have to. It is how I express myself and get centered. My motivation is not to make money, be a super star, or even to get my message across. It's just simply a part of my life and who I am.

In my eyes the role of the musician is just like the role of a painter or any other kind of expressive art. To take a medium and directly translate your soul through that medium.

Right on. It's up to the individual to decide.
