For some reason, Only Built 4 Cuban Linx has never really stuck with me. I've given it a solid number of listens, and in the same number of listens, I've come to enjoy Liquid Swords and the W way more (and don't even talk about 36 Chambers, that would never have been a competition in the first place). There'e some really great tracks on Linx, but it always seems a bit inconsistent to me.

I find this interesting jazzfromhell since you clearly like other wu-tang albums. If it had been your first introduction to the members of the clan I wouldn't be very surprised.
I think a big part for the critical approval of cuban linx has been the way it has influenced rap, since gangster rap is so big these days. The production is on point and has been copied by a lot of producers, and the rapping is excellent. There are some tracks that do stand out but as a whole I've always found it pretty consistent.
What do you think isn't holding your attention?
I'm really surprised you like The W more. Its a good album but I never listen to it anymore outside of when I've got a track or two off it in my head.
