For whatever reason, I was looking for some middle eastern metal bands, and stumbled on Melechesh.

Zephyr mentioned them in the Best of 2006 thread.

It's made up of members from Absu (another group you should check out if you haven't. Their drummer was the drummer for Melechesh for six years, which he left in 2005. He is on their two previous recordings.), Melechesh and The Soil Bleeds Black.

The name of the group comes from the Bathory song, which is on....Under The Sign: The Sign Of The Black Mark.

I checked out Emissaries...and I like it though I find I am losing interest in most black metal lately.

i am losing interest in black metal to. it all sound alot the same now.

I've got their Sphynx album, which isn't too bad. I haven't ever checked anything else by them out, but I might now.

I think you guys expect too much from Black Metal. If it's taking up more than ten percent of your listening time you definitely are.
