What's the different?
Just a thought, define psychedelic rock to me. How different is it from other rock genres that are available.

Is there any popular bands practising this genre?

Go check out allmusic.com, they have an excellent overview of the genre... The reason I like psychedelic rock so much is that when it is done well it mixes together a wide variety of musical styles into a sound unlike any other form of music...
