Denny Doherty R.I.P.
Yet another member of the Mamas and Papas, lead male singer Denny Doherty has passed on. Only one of the originals are left now, Mama Michelle Phillips. Denny was one of the great underrated singers of his generation. His stunning lead vocals on songs like "California Dreamin'" and "Monday Monday" were a big part of what made those records so special.

i actually now him more from 'theodore tugboat' from when i'd watch over my little cousins back in the early 90s. still a bummer, but not as bad as losing mr. dressup.

Yeah, it's too bad. RIP.
And, please, don't bring up Mr Dressup. When Mr Coombs died I got really drunk and hummed/hollered the Mr Dressup theme with my buddies down at the local. One of the saddest days in CBC history.
