Hey! I've just read that Bananarama made a new album in 2006! Anybody heard it yet?

It's said not to be good, but AMG isn't that reliable.

Is that the wannabe Linkin Park slash Christian rock band?

Haven't you heard? For the first time, his Royal Axlness has actually mentioned the release date (with a hedge added in) of March 6, 2007. That's as well as firing Merck Mercuriadis his manager, however, not before blaming him for the delays.

What's happening, brother

The '06 non-jazz albums I listened to, in order of preference:

Tom Waits - Orphans: Brawlers, Bawlers, and Bastards
TV on the Radio - Return to Cookie Mountain
Editors - The Back Room
Xiu Xiu - The Air Force
Pearl Jam - Pearl Jam (this one'll probably grow on me, as all Pearl Jam eventually does)
Bob Dylan - Modern Times
Ghostface Killah - Fish Scale
Jay Dee/J Dilla - Donuts
Tool - 10,000 Days
Van Morrison - Pay the Devil
The Strokes - First Impressions of Earth

The Strokes album is the only bad one on there, the rest were at least a 7/10 or higher.
