They have some good moments. As far as blues bands during that part of the 80's, they were overlooked. While everyone was going on about The Fabulous (fucking) Thunderbirds and Double (fucking) Trouble (Christ, I hate those two), Treat Her Right was making more interesting strides in blues.

I just got the chance to get my hands on some Morphine, and although it's got a weird beat to it.. it's catchy...

Like every style of music, ROCK can't be typecast into a pinhole opinion. Yes, a great deal of popular rock music sucks gas today, but there are some bands like MUSE or Trail of the Dead or Blood Brothers or Honeybees that have a shimmer of hope about them. It's really what floats your boat.

The internet have opened doors for some unsigned bands that are worth a mention, such as Toys in Trouble (who have a trippy web-site: www.toysintrouble.com) and Bugs in the Dark.

I've since got Sandbox, and after having it in my collection, listening to it more closely, I like it more.

It's hard to say really. Some people I go to school with have tried to get me interested into rock/progressive rock such as Opeth, Porcupine Tree, and Dream Theatre. To me it seems like all the bands music "ain't got the same soul" so I guess I'll stick with that old time rock n' roll.

Don't get me wrong, I still like to rock out to Slipknot, but I still feel that they could do a lot better.

Nevermore, Isis, Boris, Aereogramme, Converge, Nocturnal Rites, Cynic... none really similar but excellent for rocking out as well as sitting back and enjoying it.
