DJ Q-bert

DJ Q-bert injects his own creative style and inspiration into his music.

Such inventiveness and genius has been almost absent in the music community for a long time, but Q-bert never ceases to amaze me with his style.

Plus, he's awesome at scratching.

I have to pick a favorite? Completely unfair, due to the fact that each DJ has their own musical style injected into their tables. I suppose if I have to pick an all time favorite... BT, for everything he's done outside of recorded albums. You've never heard BT until you've heard him live.

Now, don't get me into the discussion of who's the best in certain categories... I'll be typing for days...

hmm...BT eh? Well, I use to like him, but now since he's branched over into the pop industry, he just doesn't appeal to me anymore...its not that he's sold out, I commend him for making money and being successful in a business with has-beens...but i just don't care for his output anymore

Just a question, but have you ever heard him live recently? That's where he really shines... his album tracks aren't usually the most appealing, but live he usually goes back to his roots. While I haven't been impressed with his pressed material lately, he's still thumping away live.

never heard him live man...I live in Tennessee, where country music rules and the pigs swim in mud...

that should answer why I haven't seen him...

Im going to have to say DJ SHADOW...he is truly an artist. When I listen to his music it makes me think of paintings..its kind of abstract. I get good visuals from his music which is something I really like (and im not talking drugs here).

I'd have to say DJ Swamp. (Beck's DJ) He throws records from behind his back with each arm as he's scratching, and then he breaks em'.....One of the coolest DJ's I've seen besides DJ Shadow........

While I don't like every song he has remixed, I do like the style of Superchumbo, and his following remixes:

Basement Jaxx - Get me off
Missy Elliot - Get your freak on
Shannon - Let the music play
Snap - Rhythm is a dancer

I also love his song called, "Irresistable"

Other dj's that I like a few of their remixes, are:

Club69
Fatboy Slim
Jason Nevins
