get a distortion pedal and a wah. you won't be needing the wah much for green day but it's a definite necessity for chili peppers stuff especially with their older tunes.

I go to buy a distortion pedal and a wah...that ok ?
How much is it ?
if your buying new gear a distortion will cost you anywhere between $50 and $200 depending on the brand. i'd recommend a BOSS pedal, they don't break down EVER, usually cost about $80 or so. a wah usually runs around $200, although you could probably find a used one for about half that price, Dunlop and VOX are the most popular wah pedal producers.
