Rock & Roll Lullabies?

I was listening to the Dan Patrick Show yesterday on ESPN and they talked about these CDs that are lullaby interpretations of rock music. Since I have a little one on the way, I went to their website and took a listen. Pretty cool. My child will definitely be hearing them. Some of the artists are Tool, Radiohead, Pixies, Queens of the Stone Age, Led Zeppelin, Beach Boys, Beatles, Metallica, Smashing Pumpkins and Bjork. Some of the music actually sounds a bit sinister, especially Tool and Metallica. I think there are 16 CDs as of now, although some haven't been released yet. Each band has their own CD. Here is the link: http://www.babyrockrecords.com/web/p...p?pgs=products

There are soundclips for a lot of the songs.

Congrats! First one?

When my son was born, I bought the Elvis one. And boy can he shake his pelvis today!

There are some nice tunes there, but my son prefers Iron Maiden, Elvis and his mommy's band today. He's 2 and a half now, he's goin the right way.

It'd be cool to see a two year old rockin' out to 'Seventh Son of a Seventh Son'.

I might buy one or two of these. Not all of them are so hot, though. The Beach Boys, for example, can't have been hard to translate over to a lullabye-ish sound, but their renditions of songs like "Teen Spirit" really lose the melody, which is odd, because it's simple and catchy and i've heard performed in some similar ways, to a much better effect. I wonder if the same person arranges all the music?
