Metal / hardrock advices?

Hey guys... Ive been swiching abit over from punk til metal/hard rock lately, but I am having problems finding good bands... Can you guys advice me some bands? I like mettalica and system of a down and such... would be cool if they were anything like that

Why don't you satrt off with the well known bands like Iron Maiden, Metallica, Godsmack and as you get into the groove, you'll slowly start liking the genre and get to know of some new bands within that genre.
