well seeing as i donyt know who MMW are, I better go with the bad plus. I got to see them live during the summer and I was blown away. The drummmer was crazy, during one song, he took out a kid's toy keyboard and started playing drums with it. It was hilarious

I saw them play together, Bad Plus opening for MMW. The latter exceeded them in about every regard. Bad Plus were fine for an opening band, but really didn't do a great deal to impress, other than cute stand-up style routines in between songs.

That's a really tough call. I listen to them for different vibes. However, I'm currently obsessed with. . . .

Medeski, Scofield, Martin & Wood - Out Louder

I'm going to have to go with MMW. I've only seen the Bad Plus in concert and I agree with pleb. It was a great show!
