Tchaikovsky. Mussorgsky. Rimsky-Korsikov, Shostakovich, and Wagner(not Russian)........Not the best but my faves, I like the Russian composers more than the rest.

Well, I'm becoming more and more of a classical/ modern symphony fan. My favorite classical composers go as so:

Bach
Mozart
Beethhoven
Vivaldi
Wagner

I know, nothing special, creative, or daring, but they're perhaps the 5 best-known (besides maybe handel and chopin) composers for a good reason.
